Effective 5 August 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Paddle Routes. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact hello@paddleroutes.io with questions.
Paddling and safety
Paddle Routes is a planning and information tool, not a monitored emergency service, navigation authority or substitute for training, local advice, suitable equipment and your own judgement. Weather, tide, river, access, hazard, community and AI information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Conditions change quickly. You are responsible for assessing conditions, ability, equipment, access rights and whether to proceed. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your account secure and provide accurate information. You must not misuse the service, unlawfully track or harass anyone, scrape or probe the service, bypass access controls, interfere with safety systems, submit malicious or unlawful content, impersonate another person, or infringe another person’s rights. You are responsible for activity through your account.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Paddle Routes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and display it only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and make it available according to the visibility you choose. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit that content. We may remove content that breaches these terms or creates legal, security or safety risk.
Paddle Routes Pro
Paid features, price, billing period and any introductory offer are shown before purchase. iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple and renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting your Paddle Routes account does not cancel a subscription. Restores and refunds are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and processes.
Third-party services
The service uses third-party maps, conditions, payments, hosting and optional integrations. Their data and availability are outside our control and their own terms may apply. Connecting an optional service such as Strava authorises the data exchange described at the time of connection.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep Paddle Routes available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete coverage or error-free data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paddle Routes is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or losses caused by relying on conditions, routes, community content or third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Suspension, termination and changes
You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time, subject to active safety-plan protections shown in the app. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, safety, legal compliance or a serious breach of these terms. We may update these terms as Paddle Routes changes and will provide appropriate notice of material changes.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply where you live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes.
